When our client briefed us for
the redesign of Heemskerk, they
wanted the packaging not to
conform to normal conventions.
However there was a catch; we
had to use a standard bottle, and
whatever we designed had to go
down the client’s bottling line easily.
Many labelling trials later, the final
sleek design repositioned
Heemskerk as the hottest brand
out of cool-climate Tasmania.
We chose stormy atmospheric
photography on Abel’s Tempest,
the newest addition to the portfolio,
to maintain Heemskerk’s über-
contemporary positioning.
