The Oatley family can trace their
Australian roots back to James
Oatley, a pardoned convict who
became the fledgling colony’s most
sought after clock and watchmaker.
Oatley’s clocks are now museum
pieces, so the family decided to
create a range of wines in his honour.
We came up with the idea of a
pocketwatch: on each varietal it is
shown in different stages of reveal
from a pocket. Featuring sumptuous
foils, the watch illustrates the skill and
intricacy involved in watchmaking.
The back label reinforces the
craftsmanship theme with the ornate
and inner workings of the watch.
