Yalumba ‘The Caley’

2012 was an extraordinary vintage
for the winemakers at Yalumba.
They had a parcel of wine so
special that they had “waited
hundred and sixty five years to
make”. Robert Hill-Smith, the fifth
generation owner of Yalumba,
decided to release the wine as a
new iconic flagship in honour of his
great uncle, adventurer and
horticulturalist Fred Caley-Smith.
Caley-Smith travelled the world
collecting plant seeds and
specimens. The magnificent bottle
comes wrapped in the the map of
his travels as well as with a book of
his photographs.
